Ponce, Puerto Rico
La Guancha is one of the most visited places in Ponce. In the left side of the recreational complex you will find the Ponce beach. The beach has restrooms and an area to play sports like volleyball. It is not a beach to swim, because it has urchins and stones near the shore, but it is perfect to take a sunbath and get your feet wet. In front of the beach there is a recreational area with swings for children. There is a boardwalk for those who enjoy walking by the sea. There you will be able to enjoy the “frituras” and typical food that offer the colorful kiosks, with a background of tropical music that characterizes a celebration atmosphere. Also, you can climb the 50 foot observation tower for a great view. The wharf is the area that most calls people’s attention. The small wharf has fish, as well as and pelicans hoping that someone feed them with sardines that can be bought nearby.
