La Plata Beach is located in the east side of the island and belongs to the National Wildlife Refuge of Vieques. The sand is white and the water turquoise blue, perfect for snorkeling, to spend a day with the family or to take a suntan. In spite of its beauty, it receives few visitors. Truly, it is a hidden treasure. We highly recommend an all-terrain vehicle in order to arrive at this beach. It does not have sanitary facilities.
