Chatarra Beach is one of the most consistent surfing beaches near the metropolitan area of Puerto Rico. Its waves break on shallow waters, so it is recommended only for experienced surfers. The better waves are in the left “great tubes”, but its right is respectable. Due to its proximity to mangroves, we suggest you use insect repellant. Don’t forget to enjoy the nearby kiosks.
